Originally from Los Angeles and now a longtime Houston resident, Byron has more than 16 years of experience in adult education, including extensive work as an ESL and college English instructor. He has helped hundreds of learners, particularly international professionals in the oil and gas industry, strengthen their communication skills and reach their language goals. His experience also includes drafting and editing business correspondence, reports, and presentations.
Byron values CCLS Houston’s practical, conversation-based approach and its emphasis on helping students use the language from the beginning. He holds degrees from the University of St. Thomas and Houston Baptist University, as well as teaching certification through CCLS. Outside the classroom, he is a longtime songwriter and music producer and previously created and operated a jazz club and salon in Houston.
